Spearo Two is a 30 ft center-console fishing boat for up to six guests who want a day of fishing, diving or exploring the coast of Banderas Bay. She runs on twin Yamaha 300 hp outboards from Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz, and can also board guests at Marina Vallarta or Marina Nuevo Vallarta.
Forward, a curved bow lounge wraps around a teak table under a bimini. The helm sits under a black T-top that carries the rods, with a padded bench on the cooler in front of it and a JL Audio speaker overhead. Aft there is open deck to fight a fish, with rod holders, a fish box, a fillet table and a live bait tank, and the boat has a head.
Charters run four, six, eight or twelve hours. Four hours works the inshore water; the longer days head offshore to Corbeteña and El Banco, with tackle, live bait, beer, tequila and a Mexican or Mediterranean lunch aboard. A Sea-Doo jet ski for two can be added.
What stands out is her reach: with 600 hp on a 30 ft hull, a twelve-hour day takes six guests out to El Banco and back.
