About this trip
In'ah Bay lies off Punta Venado, about an hour north of Marina Puerto Aventuras by boat. The boat anchors by the reef and you snorkel from it in clear water among reef fish. Stingrays are often there, and sea turtles on some days.
On the way back the boat stops in Paamul Bay, about 2 nautical miles north of the marina, for a swim and lunch at anchor.
The sea off this coast is part of the Caribe Mexicano Biosphere Reserve. CONANP sets its fee at 125 Mexican pesos per person per day; older adults, pensioners and retirees, people with disabilities and children under 12 are exempt. We'll confirm whether it is charged on this trip before you pay the deposit.

Questions
Will we see sea turtles?
Sometimes; they are wild. If you see a turtle, keep your distance and do not touch or chase it.
Is this the same as snorkeling with turtles in Akumal?
No. Akumal Bay is a separate site about 8 nautical miles south of Marina Puerto Aventuras. This trip heads north to In'ah Bay, and you snorkel from the boat with only your own group.
Do I need snorkeling experience?
No. You snorkel at the surface beside the boat. Anyone who would rather stay dry can stay on deck.
What is included in the price?
The crew (captain, deck crew, chef and host), an open bar with beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and mocktails, towels, snorkeling gear, paddle boards and a floating mat. On a four-hour charter the chef serves a seasonal fruit plate, pico de gallo, guacamole, quesadillas, fish and shrimp ceviche, and salami and gouda baguettes.
What costs extra?
The dock fee is $15 USD per person, paid at check-in. On Bang Bang Lulu and Chapter Two each guest beyond the 15 included costs $80 USD plus tax on a four-hour charter. Tipping the crew is at your discretion; we suggest 10% to 15% of the charter fee.
How many people can come?
Bang Bang Lulu (42 ft) includes 15 guests and takes up to 25. Chapter Two (45 ft) includes 15 and takes up to 30. Triton (38 ft) takes up to 10.
What should we bring?
Swimwear, a rash guard, light clothing, a hat, sunglasses and any personal medication.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If we cannot complete your cruise because of weather, you receive a 100% refund or the option to reschedule.
