Chapter Two is a 45 ft Lagoon 450 sailing catamaran built in 2014, for groups that want a full day on the water with room to spread out: 15 guests are included in the price, and she takes up to 30.
The Lagoon 450 is known for its raised flybridge, where the helm sits with a clear view all round and guests can lounge beside it. Below, the aft cockpit has a shaded dining table, the saloon and galley sit behind wide windows, and the foredeck has a sun lounge and two trampoline nets between the bows.
Two 49 hp Yanmar diesels give her a cruising speed of 8 knots. She has three cabins and two bathrooms for changing and resting. A captain, deck crew, a chef and a host run the day; the chef cooks lunch on board, and the open bar pours beer, wine and spirits.
Paddleboards, snorkel gear, a floating mat and fishing gear are included. She sails from Marina Puerto Aventuras and suits birthdays, family reunions, bachelor parties and company outings. What sets her apart is the flybridge, a second level above the cockpit that gives a group of 30 more than one place to be.

The Lagoon 450 was drawn around a raised flybridge: the helm sits up there with a clear view all round, and there is room beside it under the bimini for guests to lounge and watch the sea. Steps lead down to the aft cockpit.
The cockpit has a dining table with cushioned benches in the shade, and a sunbed by the stern where teak steps lead down to the swim platforms. Through the saloon doors, a U-shaped settee and a table face the galley under wide windows, cooled by air conditioning.
Forward, a cushioned lounge sits at the front of the coachroof, and the two trampoline nets between the bows are where most guests spend the sail. The sound system plays inside and out, and a grill, a refrigerator and a fully stocked cooler are aboard for the day.
