Heather Nikki is an 80-foot Azimut flybridge motor yacht from 2003, built for groups of up to 25 by day, from birthdays and bachelor parties to corporate outings and family reunions. The rate covers ten guests, and eight can stay overnight in four cabins with two bathrooms.

The group spreads across four spaces: the flybridge lounge with its U-shaped settee under the hardtop, the teak aft deck with a dining table, the saloon of curved white sofas, and the foredeck sun pads under a canopy. A captain, a chef and a bartender run the day, with meals and a top-shelf open bar included. From the swim platform there are Seabobs, kayaks, paddleboards, a lily pad and snorkel gear.

She is berthed at Puerto Los Cabos Marina in San José del Cabo, can board at Marina Cabo San Lucas, cruises at about 27 knots, and runs our Escape to La Paz trip. What sets her apart is the galley: the same chef, Santi, cooks on every charter.

    Lounge seating

Azimut built her as a flybridge motor yacht with an exterior by Stefano Righini: a long foredeck, a covered aft deck and an open upper deck, with the saloon between them. The flybridge is where a group gathers: a U-shaped cream settee wraps a table under the hardtop, the helm and its companion seats sit forward, and white sun pads lie aft.

On the main deck the aft deck has a teak floor, a dining table with woven chairs and the stairs up to the flybridge. Glass doors lead into the saloon, where two curved white sofas face each other over a low table inside wood joinery. Forward, the teak foredeck carries sun pads under a canopy, and the swim platform at the stern is where the water toys go in.
